The Community Foundation of the Lowcountry is accepting nominations for the 2026 Joan and Wade Webster Community Impact Award, an honor recognizing individuals who are making a meaningful difference in the region through active volunteer service.
The award, established in 2022 by the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry with support from Joan and Wade Webster, highlights recent and significant positive contributions in the Lowcountry. It is intended to recognize individuals who are currently volunteering with an organization, nonprofit or for a specific cause, rather than serving as a lifetime achievement award.
Eligible nominees must be residents of Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton or Jasper counties. The recipient will receive a $10,000 grant to designate to one or more charitable organizations located within the foundation’s service area.
Certain individuals are not eligible for consideration, including current members of the foundation’s board and staff, paid nonprofit employees and elected officials.
Nominations must be submitted by January 21st, 2026. The award will be presented during the foundation’s annual community meeting on March 18th, 2026, at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.
Additional information and the online nomination form are available at cf-lowcountry.org.
