Italian American Club to host pasta dinner, golf fundraiser

The Italian American Club of Hilton Head Island will welcome the community to its annual Pasta Dinner later this month, continuing a long-standing tradition of food, fellowship and local giving.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church and is open to the public.

Organizers say the dinner has become a popular gathering for residents and visitors, offering a menu of classic Italian dishes served in a casual, family-style setting. The event reflects the club’s mission of celebrating Italian heritage while supporting charitable efforts in the community.
Club President John DeCecco said the success of the event relies on community involvement.

“It’s all about the volunteers and the community. That’s what makes everything we do possible,” DeCecco said.

Proceeds from the dinner help fund scholarships for local students and provide support to area nonprofit organizations.

The club will continue its fundraising efforts with its annual golf tournament, scheduled for June 19 at Palmetto Hall Golf Club. The tournament begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start and includes contests, prizes and a post-round Italian buffet.

Organizers say the tournament is one of the club’s primary fundraisers and draws participants from across the region for a day of friendly competition and socializing.

Both events are part of the organization’s broader effort to combine cultural traditions with community service. In addition to scholarships, funds raised throughout the year support a range of local charitable initiatives.

Tickets for the pasta dinner and registration for the golf tournament are available through the club’s website, IACHH.org.
