Hilton Head Holiday Kick-Off Festival

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their entrance aboard an antique fire truck when Hilton Head Island kicks off the holiday season Nov. 14 at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.

The town’s official Holiday Kick-Off Festival will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the Arts Center grounds at 14 Shelter Cove Lane. The free event will feature live entertainment, arts and crafts, food trucks and an art market filled with creations by local artists.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will spend the afternoon visiting with children, giving families a chance to enjoy a little holiday magic before the season gets into full swing.

Local performing groups will provide entertainment throughout the festival. Cast members from the Arts Center’s upcoming production of “Annie” also will take the stage for a special performance.

For those looking to get a head start on holiday shopping, the art market will feature work by local artisans. Visitors can browse handmade items and pick up gifts while supporting artists in the community.

There will be plenty for children to do, too, with arts and crafts activities for all ages. Food trucks will be on hand for anyone looking to grab a bite between performances and activities.

The festival has become a Lowcountry holiday tradition, bringing residents and visitors together for an afternoon of music, shopping and family fun.

Admission is free.

Sponsored by the Town of Hilton Head Island, the free festival is open to residents and visitors of all ages. The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is at 14 Shelter Cove Lane. For more information, visit www.welcometosheltercove.com.
