The Coastal Discovery Museum will host its annual Cocktails & Camellias fundraiser on Friday, February 6th, 2026, inviting guests to enjoy an evening of food, drinks and live music in the camellia gardens at historic Honey Horn.
The event, which benefits the Coastal Discovery Museum, will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Champagne Garden Tour beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person, and proceeds support the museum’s educational programs, exhibitions, workshops and tours, while helping keep admission to the museum and its grounds free.
Cocktails & Camellias features the Manske Camellia Garden and Mary Ann Peeples Pavilion as its backdrop and includes live jazz, specialty cocktails, curated small plates and a silent auction offering exclusive Lowcountry experiences.
“Cocktails & Camellias brings the community together to support the Coastal Discovery Museum and our 40 years of preserving the history and natural beauty of this island that we all love,” said Rex Garniewicz, the museum’s president and CEO. “It’s a party with a purpose: great cocktails, great food and great auction items in one of Hilton Head’s most beautiful settings.”
Silent auction items available to attendees include a two-hour sailing lesson at the South Carolina Yacht Club, an oyster roast for 20 at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks, a round of golf at Haig Point on Daufuskie Island, a private camellia waxing workshop at the museum, a private wine dinner, and a selection of art and antiques.
The museum is also seeking individual and corporate sponsors for the event. Sponsors receive recognition in the silent auction guide and other event materials. More information about sponsorship opportunities is available by contacting Laura Kirkpatrick at 843-689-6767, ext. 224. The museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Founded in 1985, the Coastal Discovery Museum is located on Hilton Head Island’s historic Honey Horn property at 70 Honey Horn Drive. A Smithsonian Affiliate, the museum focuses on educating the public about the Lowcountry’s history, culture and coastal environment. In 2025, the museum welcomed more than 130,000 visitors.
