With so many new (and existing) residents wanting to be comforted in knowing the financial health of the town of Bluffton, we work hard to make this information available for all to see.
The Town of Bluffton successfully uses technology to provide easily accessible financial data for public transparency. Our Financial Reports are available on the Town of Bluffton website www.townofbluffton.sc.gov, under the Government navigation tab.
It is important for us as part of our mission and strategic focus to demonstrate the role the Town government is playing in supporting what makes Bluffton a great place to live and work.
On the website you can access the Town’s “Financial Dashboard” providing General Fund Revenues and Expenditures compared to the Annual Budget and Prior Year. By using this interactive report, you can obtain revenue and expenditure information by cost category.
Other reports available on the website include the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), the Annual Budget, the Budget at a Glance, and the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR).
The CAFR includes our annual financial audit comprising the financial state of the Town that complies with the accounting requirements promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The PAFR is written to summarize and communicate, in a user-friendly manner, the Town’s financial condition presented in the CAFR.
The Annual Budget for the current fiscal year is developed based on our vision, mission, and strategic focus area initiatives. Our Budget at a Glance is a brief summary of our Annual Budget.
We invite you to visit our website for this and other valuable information on our town.
Lisa Sulka is the mayor of the Town of Bluffton.
