With this feature, we seek to capture a glimpse of what your neighbors have to say about a variety of topics, issues, events – and just plain fun questions.
You might find us anywhere around Bluffton with a camera and note pad, asking simple questions and looking for thoughtful answers. If we find you, we hope you will want to participate.
At the annual Sun City Club Fair, we asked old-timers and newcomers: “What is the spookiest or kookiest Halloween costume you have ever seen or worn?”
Here’s how some of our neighbors answered.
Linda Michaelson, Sun City: “Two adults dressed like raisins. One had a boom box on his shoulder and they were dancing to ‘I Heard It through the Grapevine’.”
John McKenzie, Sun City: “We had some neighbors at our old community who dressed up like mobsters.”
Joann Madison, Sun City: “I saw two little children who were made up like a Slinky with a coil wire going from one to the other. It was so creative.”
Emily Giles, Sun City: “I saw an adult dressed up like a Lego.”
Betty McMillion, Sun City: “There was this adult who dressed up like Darth Vader. He didn’t say anything. Never made a sound.”
