You might find us anywhere around Bluffton with a camera and note pad, asking simple questions and looking for thoughtful answers. If we find you, we hope you will want to participate.
At the first Coffee and Chocolate Festival in Bluffton, we asked: “What meaningful holiday tradition are you looking forward to?”
Diane Ashdown, Hilton Head Island: “To break all traditions! This is the first time in 26 years that we don’t have a themed Christmas tree!”
Jackie Stevens, Bluffton: “I’m looking forward to a nice Hanukkah dinner tonight (Dec. 8) at Backwater Bill’s, with potato latkes, brisket and matzo ball soup.”
Dale Butts, Bluffton: “We’re doing something a little different this year and staying home, just the four of us. No traveling. I’m looking forward to the calm and quiet of just us.”
Gillie Gilchrist, Hilton Head Island: “Sharing time with family, and celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Christ.”
Alexander Roth, Bluffton: “Going to Vegas with Mom. Ever since my dad died, she didn’t want to be home on Christmas, so we go to Vegas.”
