With this feature, we seek to capture a glimpse of what your neighbors have to say about a variety of topics, issues, events – and just plain fun questions.

You might find us anywhere around Bluffton with a camera and note pad, asking simple questions and looking for thoughtful answers. If we find you, we hope you will want to participate.

At the Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival at Honey Horn, we asked: “If you found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, what would you do with it?”

Angela Coleman, Hinesville, Ga.: “I would share it with my church and community, as well as family, friends and charity.”

Janet Gibson, Claxton, Ga.: “I would do a lot – help the needy, take care of my family, open a bakery, and then travel.”

Ann Marie Pennington, Hilton Head Island: “Ten percent goes to the church right away, that’s a given. Then 10 percent to charity, and 10 percent to our son. I’d give away 40 percent, and put the rest in a trust fund.”

Kimrey Pennington, Hilton Head Island: “Same as my wife – we’re a team. My charity would be the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.”

Mark Smith, Bluffton: “I would make sure my family and friends are taken care of, and give the rest to charity.”
