With this feature, we seek to capture a glimpse of what you and your neighbors have to say about a variety of topics, issues, events – and just plain fun questions.

You might find us anywhere around Bluffton with a camera and note pad, asking simple questions and looking for thoughtful answers. If we find you, we hope you will want to participate.

At Bluffton Town Hall, before a recent council meeting, we asked, “What’s the best side dish on your Thanksgiving dinner table?”

Charlene Gardner, Bluffton: “Oyster dressing, because I love oysters!”

Nancy Golson, Bluffton: “Sweet potato casserole … with chopped pecans, marshmallows. Lord, I love sweet potatoes!”

Carolyn Smith, Bluffton: “Real butterbeans and rice. I’ve always had that. It’s got to have a little bit of ham in it.”

Jake Martin, Bluffton: “Banana pie.”

Jim Odum, Bluffton: “Oyster dressing. It’s a good way to eat oysters on Thanksgiving.”
