Beaufort Memorial has opened May River Primary Care in Bluffton, increasing access to both acute and preventive care in the community.
The practice is located in the hospital’s new May River Medical Pavilion at 1 Burnt Church Road. Dr. Nikki Keisler, an experienced board-certified family medicine specialist, is the first physician to join the practice. She is currently accepting new patients and appointments can be scheduled by calling 843-706-2287.
Keisler comes to the practice from Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group’s University Family Medicine in Columbia.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, she completed her residency at Palmetto Health Richland and worked for both Providence Family Medicine in Columbia and Kershaw Health Primary Care in Elgin.
Keisler also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of South Carolina.
“We are delighted to have an experienced primary care provider like Dr. Keisler join our medial staff,” said Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley. “Adding the new practice is part of our continuing effort to increase access to medical care and further our mission to improve the health of our community.”
May River Primary Care is one of two health care clinics to be housed in the 7,000-square-foot May River Medical Pavilion. Beaufort Memorial Express Care and Occupational Health is in a separate suite at the same address, offering immediate treatment for nonlife-threatening medical issues seven days a week.
