Though the seasonal slow-down for business changes is in effect, those changes still occur. Here’s the latest in new construction, renovations, relocations, mergers, planned projects, closings and grand openings.

• Slapfish, 153 Arrow Road, Hilton Head Island. This fast-casual “modern seafood shack” operating with 20 franchises in a handful of states plans to open its first Lowcountry restaurant next year. The company was founded in 2011.

Grand openings, ribbon cuttings and closings:

• Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, 448 Independence Blvd. (U.S. 278 at exit 8), Hardeeville, Nov. 5. This national chain of Baja-style taco eateries opened recently at the Enmarket truck plaza. The menu focuses on 12 types of tacos, nachos, quesadillas, 11 types of burritos, burrito bowls, soups and salads, a variety of starters with chips, enchilada and fajita dinner plates, an assortment of sides and a kids’ menu. Breakfast is served daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

• Joe’s Ice Cream and Beverage Co., 15 Bruin Road, Bluffton, Oct. 23. This new establishment serves premium ice cream, four wine-based ice cream flavors, coffee and tea. Customers must be over 21 to purchase cherry merlot, chocolate cabernet and other alcoholic flavors.

• Your CBD Store, 2121 Boundary St., Beaufort. Jessica Rollins, owner of the company’s franchise on Hilton Head, opened this second location in early November. The store sells health-based, non-THC cannabis products in the form of edibles, tinctures, soft gels, vaping e-liquids and topical applications.
