- A Blessing of the Animals will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 6, rain or shine, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 351 Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton.
For safety reasons, all animals must be leashed or caged.

- The 40th annual St. Andrew By-the-Sea Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10 at the church, 20 Pope Ave. on Hilton Head Island.
The festival is one of the largest, continuously run church bazaars in South Carolina. The large assortment of items sold historically has included baked goods, a garden shop, children’s items, sporting goods, jewelry, books, household items and a Christmas shop.
A silent auction offers gift cards, art, golf packages, services, tickets for local events and vacation packages.
Live music, food and beverages will be available, with coffee and donuts for early arrivals.
