The Ted Flach Memorial Candy Cane Classic, an annual tournament benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island, has expanded to include pickleball, in addition to its traditional golf and tennis.

The event will be held Dec. 3 at Sea Pines Country Club.

Golf begins with sign-in and breakfast at 8 a.m. and a 9:30 a.m. shot gun start. Cost is $200 per person.

Tennis and pickleball starts at 10 a.m. for sign-in and breakfast, with play starting at 11 a.m. Cost is $125 per person.

Awards ceremonies with a lunch buffet will begin when play has finished.

“The growth and popularity of pickleball has soared in the past few years,” said Kim Likins, director of the club. “We want to make sure those who have taken up the sport have a chance to join our tournament and enjoy all the day has to offer.”

Now in its 22nd year, this fundraiser has raised more than $850,000 to support the Club’s mission to serve local youth.

The event is open to the public. For more information and to register, visit bgchiltonhead.org/events.
