Joe Cornell and Yvonne Cornell, a husband and wife team, have joined Century 21 A Low Country Realty as real estate agents.
Joe Cornell has been a licensed real estate professional since 1982, beginning his real estate career in Philadelphia, working with his father in property management.
He has completed curriculum work for a Master of Business Administra-tion at Eastern University and has earned a graduate certificate in marketing strategies at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business.
Cornell holds specialist designations in second home properties, senior real estate and military relocation.
Yvonne Cornell also is from Philadelphia and is a product of Temple University’s School of Communications. Her career includes producing training videos for Prudential Financial Services, and serving a number of years as a title insurance agent and real estate salesperson.
After vacationing on Hilton Head Island for 25 years, the couple moved to Palmetto Dunes. They have three adult sons and two grandchildren.

- The Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce will kick off its Real Life Learning Seminar Series at 5 p.m. April 18 with “Managing and Leading in a Growing and Changing Community.”
Speakers are Don Brashears, owner of Liberty Tax and chairman of the Greater Bluffton Chamber, and Michael E. Covert, owner of Covert Aire and a Beaufort County Council member.
The seminar will be held at the chamber office, 217 Goethe Road. Cost is $10 for chamber members and $20 for non-members. Seating is limited to 25 people; registration is recommended, by calling 843-757-1010.
Michael Moore has joined Schembra Real Estate Group as a real estate agent.
Born and raised on Hilton Head Island into a real estate development family, Moore attended Hilton Head Preparatory School and graduated from the University of South Carolina-Beaufort.
He previously worked in construction sales and as manager of a family-owned outdoor furniture store in Bluffton.

Ben Farmer has joined Century 21 Diamond Realty as a professional real estate agent.
Farmer has been an experienced real estate agent in Sun City for more than 11 years. His business background includes public and private accounting, computer sales and management positions, and owner of an aviation software company in Atlanta.
Farmer became a full-time resident of Sun City in 2004, after 25 years as a frequent visitor and property owner on Hilton Head Island.

- Three staff members have joined Bear Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head Plantation.
Cory Grimes has been appointed assistant golf professional at Bear Creek Golf Course. Grimes, of Akron, Ohio, is a graduate of Kent State University, with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration and a master’s in sport and recreation management.
For four years, he coached college basketball for Hiram College in northeast Ohio. In his free time, he enjoys watching all Cleveland sports, spending time with his fiancé and 5-month-old son, and playing golf.
Grimes will help with all tournament operations and running weekly member events.
Nick Billy has been named food and beverage manager at Bear Creek Golf Club. He relocated to the area from Naples, Fla., where he was the food, beverage and banquet manager at Spanish Wells Golf and Country Club.
Originally from Wayne, N.J., Billy attended Seton Hall University, studying management and entrepreneurship.
Chef Matthew Smith, originally from New Jersey, has joined the team at Bear Creek Golf Club. After attending Le Cordon Bleu in Pittsburgh, he went on to work for The Cliffs Communities in Greenville for five years.
Smith moved to Hilton Head, where he was most recently executive chef at Bucci’s Italian Kitchen.

Edward Taylor of Beaufort has joined Blackwell Boyd, a private wealth management firm in Bluffton, as director of wealth management.
Taylor previous served as portfolio manager with Dividend Assets Capital, managing in excess of $150 million of client assets.
Taylor earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from Clemson University. He also holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst designation.
Kiley Kohler has joined the Berkeley Hall Club team as an assistant golf professional.
Kohler formerly served as assistant golf professional at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island.
A graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University as well as member of the university golf team, her prior golf experience includes serving as golf coach for the International Junior Golf Association (IJGA).
She currently volunteers as a golf coach with Hilton Head High School.
