  • Lowcountry Legal Volunteers will hold a moving sale from 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at its office, 181 Bluffton Road, Suite 103A.

Many items, furniture and appliances needed for an office will be for sale. Buyers should be prepared to take away any purchases.

The sale is in preparation for the organization’s move to the Family Justice Center in Okatie, thanks to the support of the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Hopeful Horizons and CAPA and other similar organizations will also have a presence at the Center. The goal is to help more children and families in need in a single location.

Finally, the group will host a Give Back Night from 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 6 at Fat Patties Bluffton. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of sales proceeds that evening to the organization.

  • Nadine Mooers, a financial advisor, has joined Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management office on Hilton Head Island.

Mooers is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey, earning a Bachelor of Science in business and environmental studies with a concentration in public administration.

Additionally, she holds a certification in Fundraising Management from Columbia University in New York, and attended Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mooers spent the majority of her career focusing on community relations, institutional advancement, volunteerism and nonprofit work, raising millions of dollars.

In the early 1990s, she developed and implemented community relations plans for high profile Superfund Sites in New Jersey, working as a hazardous site mitigation specialist at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

Mooers also was assistant director of annual giving and alumni relations at Ramapo College, as the director of institutional advancement at Immaculate Conception High School, and most recently as the director of the annual fund and events at Hilton Head Preparatory School.
