Board-certified nurse practitioner Miranda Moss has joined Beaufort Memorial Hospital’s Express Care & Occupational Health practice in Bluffton.

An experienced health care professional, Moss recently earned her nurse practitioner degree from the University of South Carolina. Her clinical training included rotations in emergency medicine, primary care, women’s health and pediatrics at several Beaufort Memorial departments and practices, as well as Volunteers in Medicine and Sea Island Pediatrics.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing cum laude in 2012, Moss started as a staff nurse at Beaufort Memorial, most recently working at the hospital’s Collins Birthing Center and its Level II nursery, which provides specialized care for newborns.

Located at the hospital’s new May River Medical Pavilion at 1 Burnt Church Road in Bluffton, the practice is open seven days a week, including weekday evenings until 8 p.m.

Dr. Steven Meinert has joined the group practice of Psychological & Counseling Associates of the Lowcountry LLC.

Meinert is a licensed professional counselor with a doctoral degree in individual and family therapy from St. Louis University and a Master’s Degree in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

He has achieved Diplomate status through the American Psychotherapy Association.

With a 30-year career in the field of mental health, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from previous positions in for-profit and nonprofit hospitals, residential facilities, community mental health settings, and private practice.

Meinert works with individuals, couples, and families. He specializes in working with children and teens, especially those who feel “stuck” and angry.

Berwick Drews has joined the Berkeley Hall team as CFO-Controller.

Berwick brings more than 30 years of valuable experience in hotels, golf resorts, senior living and real estate. He has proven leadership skills and a wide-ranging knowledge of finance.

Most recently, Berwick served as the director of finance for Devonshire & Chatsworth at PGA National, an upscale retirement community in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
