Hand-sewn masks and hot meals are among the many things generous community members have offered to donate to Beaufort Memorial Hospital providers and staff working the front lines of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Now, the hospital is offering guidelines about donations, including where to drop off supplies and other items, as well as how to make face masks.

“The outpouring of support from individuals, groups and local businesses has been unbelievable,” said BMH President and CEO Russell Baxley. “We know there is a tremendous desire among members of our community to show their support, and we appreciate and accept their willingness to help.”

Interested donors can visit beaufortmemorial.org/covid19support for a list of needed items, as well as how and where to donate them. There are also links to several face mask patterns with directions. All medical supplies, or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), must be new, unused and sealed in its original packaging.
