With this feature, we seek to capture a glimpse of what your neighbors have to say about a variety of topics, issues, events - and just plain fun questions.
You might find us anywhere around Hilton Head Island with a camera and note pad, asking simple questions and looking for thoughtful answers. If we find you, we hope you will want to participate.
Our question celebrates the many fall activities that we enjoy once the weather cools a bit. At the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce's Networking with Neighbors event, held at Lowcountry Backyard on Hilton Head Island, we asked: "What is the best fall event or activity in our community?"
Kathy Perry, Hilton Head Island: "All the festivals that are put on to benefit the Island Recreation Center, or other nonprofits. There's always good food, music and community. Can't go wrong with that."
Alan Perry, Hilton Head Island: "For 2018, I hope it's going to be the after party for the election! Otherwise, it will be the Hilton Head Oyster Festival."
Denise Isacson, Hilton Head Island: "The car show - the Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance - although I do like the theatre productions at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. 'Amadeus' is coming up!"
Diane Schommer, Hilton Head Island: "I enjoy art exhibits and shows at the Arts Center, and anything at the Heritage Library."
Susan Brainard, Hilton Head Island: "Chili Fest (Kiwanis Chili Cook-off), because you see a lot of people you don't often see during the rest of the year."
